well halo is still pritty popular if that says any thing and they are coming out with ODST witch will give you a little bang for your buck CoD 4-5 even thought there are some turds who like to cheat and L4D is fun if you have 4 friends

my favourite game is call of duty 4 personally but call of duty 5 and halo 3 are great first person shooters and gears of war 2 is a good third person shooter.All are easy to play online and fun.

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 is better for online, as Fallout 3 does not have online multiplayer capabilities.

My personal favorite is Call of Duty 4. Call of Duty 5 World at War is also good but they are two completely different games. Call of Duty 4 is a modern warfare game with guns and situations that resemble life as it is today. Whereas World at War (WaW) is a traditional Call of Duty game set in World War 2.

Or you can conform and go with Halo 3.

I have a ps3, but my best friend has a xbox 360. he says his favorite shooting games are the Call of Duty Series, the new World at War is a great game and also they will be making a new one soon. Rainbow six are always great games. Gears of war is another game that I would recommend.

Vegas 2 is an excellent game, in my mind the perfect shooter, some people beg to differ. Some very good ones of course are the obvious, CoD 4 and 5, The Orange Box, and Halo 3. I would also look into Resident Evil 5, it just came out and is a very excellent game. There's also Fear 2, Gears of War 1 and 2(If you like 3rd Person Shooters), and Left 4 Dead.

Most people would say that COD4 is probably the best online shooter easy learning curve and has unlockables as you lvl

Fallout 3 is far superior to Rainbow Six. You become the wastelander you want to be. There is so much more to do in this game. The only thing it doesn't have is multiplayer.
