Some may say it’s … Some may say it’s not hard for a Bullet Shooter, well maybe(i don’t know that many). But if you heading for a high score run, which is somewhat the goal in this games, you can’t use continues. Means you try score as high as possible while going as far as possible with only your 3 lifes, and THAT is ing hard core. I know it, it try it right now(without success). good and adictive game btw
This review … This review inspired my to get another Dreamcast (I had sold mine in the past).. Since then I have got almost evry DC shooter in one way or another, the same for the Saturn and have discovered indie bullet games like Perfect Blossom! Thankyou Classic game room!!
This game is awesome – obviously it looks great; what I really like as well is it keeps you coming back for more – you earn extra lives, credits, art, guides etc. the more you play – shooters like this really captivate me.
They are basically … They are basically just the same thing. Except the romans call him mars and the Greeks call him Ares. But Ares came first in case you are wondering.
The genre of this game is called “Danmaku” which means “Bullet “. These kinds of games are very popular now in Japan. The First game I ever played of this genre was called “Don Pachi” for the Playstation. I hope you can do a review of that game sometime because that is what literally started the genre.
Been watching it … Been watching it for under 4 minutes and it’s ALREADY melting my head.
Fucking A.
All I need is poppers, pills, weed, some booze and some Old School Prodigy and Active-8.
I actually thought … I actually thought of the Pluto Matrix thing before you said it (lol)… It would have been better than Mars Matrix, but maybe not as good as U.N. Squadron (or Wind Squid).
“it’s a good thing … “it’s a good thing they named the game mars matrix and not pluto matrix since pluto has been declassified as a planet” this does not make any sense!
I played so much of … I played so much of M.M. that my friends and parents tried to buy the arcade game so I could spend so time at home… I was a dork, nerd, loser whatever you want to call it. (Might still be) Yeah I said it before any of y’all could. And Pink Hurrican??? WTF???
WTF??? This … WTF??? This narrator doesn’t know shnit about this game!!! I know I’m going to sound like a completely F*ckin Greektard but I spent hundreds of dollars in the arcade playing this game for hours before I ever knew it exsisted on dreamcast. Mars did not have aliens it was colonized by earth and the people of mars wanted to be separate. So the war for control of mars began. Two ships: BLUE, lasers. RED a spread shot. both came equipped with a blaster cannon, shields and particle bomb.
