Classic Game Room HD reviews INFERNAL: ‘S VENGEANCE for Xbox 360. This shooter suffers from many sins, not the least of which is the lack of an autosave feature. Clumsy controls and no zoom in precision aiming make for a very weak shooter in a sea of saturated shooting games available for Xbox 360. The concept is equally stupid and unless you really want to just push through the game to earn the Achievement points there are better places to spend your money (on Atari games for example). This CGRHD review of Infernal: ’s Vengeance has Infernal gameplay from Infernal showing the Infernal controls and Infernal cut scenes and Infernal sounds that don’t sync up with the video at times and the Infernal plot and Infernal boss battles. An endless purgatory of frustration awaits those who choose to journey into Infernal’s sub par world of attempted chaos. Watch CGR get stuck at one of the end boss battles in level 1. Awesome…. no, that’s actually sarcasm.

Part 2 of 2: Classic Game Room HD reviews FAR CRY 2, for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC game consoles. This review features the Xbox 360 version of FARCRY 2, review has gameplay footage from Far Cry 2 featuring action, video and HD game play from this first person shooter action game set in Africa. Use machine guns, flame throwers, rocket launchers and a variety of other military grade weaponry to raze the countryside to the ground in your search for an evil arms dealer. Work with factions, mercenaries and mysterious voices to annihilate pretty much everything that moves in the enormous environment surrounding the game. Far Cry 2 has received mixed reviews, CGR enjoys the epic scale of the game, variety of weapons, open world environment, jeeps, boats and mayhem. Gunplay is lacking a bit compared to some other big budget shooters but the size of the game makes FarCry 2 have high replay value with side missions and repeat gun battles with bad guys and arms dealers. The people on Mars are attacked by Martians who have a huge army of spacecraft that shoot pink and blue lasers and listen to blasting techno music every second of every day. The martians are upset that mankind has disturbed their red planet rave and seeks vengeance in the form of pain and blood and loud, flashy, blinky lights and explosions. Released in 2000 for the Dreamcast by Capcom, Mars Matrix is a vertical scrolling shoot ‘em up or SHMUP and is pretty crazy. You could even call this game a maniac shooter, among the most challenging of the science fiction based SHMUPS. The vertical scrolling gameplay is shown off in the footage as you collect lots of experience point gold cube things and blast away aliens like it’s just no thing. A rare game and fairly collectible today, Mars Matrix is a true classic shooter and worthy of your attention if you like games like Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun and Raiden 3. It would be great to see this game released on a next gen console like the PS3 or Xbox 360 Live Arcade in the future, but this Dreamcast version has great graphics and sound and totally rocks. Classic Game Room season 1. January 6, 2000. Review of FIGHTING FORCE 2 for the Sega Dreamcast Video game console. There are a lot of great games on the Sega Dreamcast. This isn’t one of them. This is possibly the worst game on the DC, FF2 does nothing well. Not one thing. Seriously. Game Room reviewed this back in early 2000 when games like Soul Calibur, Hydro Thunder and Soul Reaver were out. How could they even think this game would compete? This is a science fiction action shooting game like a first person or third person shooter. You run around like a bohunk with a gangsta John Woo sideways gun grip adn shoot people, do back flips and basically just suck. Although this game takes place in the future we’re glad this game is from the past so we never have to look at it again. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Classic Game Room HD marked the return of the series in 2008. The original Classic Game Room reviewed Atari, NES, Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Playstation… too bad they didn’t get to Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 or Wii. Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room HD reviews FALLOUT 3 for the PS3 Playstation 3 video game console. This Fallout 3 review shows crystal clear gameplay and footage of this immense game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland. From the creators of Oblivion comes this massive RPG, strategy, action first person shooter style science fiction video game adventure. Fallout 3 is also available on the Xbox 360 video game console, CGR decided to try the PS3 version of Fallout 3 although we didn’t compare the two. Do you ever dream of hiding in a fallout shelter (101 to be exact) and emerging to a world filled with mayhem, violence, disorder, ghouls and radioactive waste and mutated monsters? If so, hooray! This is the game for you! Fallout 3 has been getting rave reviews from other gamers and for good reason, it is entertaining. A nice combination of engrossing gameplay mixed with some serios action and mayhem capped off with RPG style adventure. Don’t just dream about cooling off in a nuclear winter, live it! Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room reviews CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR for the Xbox 360 video game console. This Call of Duty World at War review shows gameplay of this intense first person shooter. Footage of the game highlights the action and intensity of the gunfights and all out mayhem. This is actually Call of Duty 5 (or at least we think it is), and COD WAW (like WAWA!) is a WWII based FPS shooter game with excellent graphics, style and gameplay. The game has online multiplayer and co-op cooperative gameplay over Xbox Live. CGRHD loved the strategy required to play through parts of the game like the trenches in the Pacific campaign. World War 2 games have come a long way since 1999 when we reviewed the first Medal of Honor game on the Playstation, and this game launches you into Saving Private Ryan style action with several campaigns of war film inspired zany mayhem. Handheld style camera work, HDTV graphics and surround sound gunbattles round out the experience. We didn’t care for the menus much, or the jumping around of the plotline/dates, but whatever. We’re here to blow things up and use the flamethrower on anyone who gets in our path. Call of Duty: World at War is reviewed with the traditional Classic Game Room eye for detail and respect for games of the past, present and future. Call of Duty: World at War is also available on Playstation 3, if you compare the PS3 version vs. the Xbox 360 version we doubt you’ll see much difference. Tanks make a return and they also have flame throwers attached to them now. Have a BBQ good time with COD World at War. Classic Game Rom is ill and show all kinds of mayhem in this Call of Duty game play!

For that matter, is Einhander the best side scrolling shooter SHMUP ever made? As far as shmups go, Einhander is a maniac shooting game set in a 2d horizontal scrolling distopian future with the feel of Blade Runner. It uses 3d elements and pushed the PSX to its limits with incredible graphics, gameplay, sound and replay value. Einhander is a side scroller like Gradius III IV or V, Thunder Force or Life Force. But this game is different because it uses gunpods and the mechanized arm that controls them. It’s amazing and regarded by some as the best shooter ever made. It also has a light saber, homing missiles and a foxy announcer who teached you things in the training seminar. This game should be remade in 2008, 2009 or 2010 as a Playstation 3 PS3 game or something for Xbox Live Arcade.

Originally Timesplitters had an amazing online function but it was cancelled and discontinued a few months ago and is no longer hosted on the servers (which SUCKS). CGRHD is eagery awaiting a new Timesplitters on the Playstation 3 PS3 or Xbox 360. We demand Timesplitters 4!! MAKE IT FASTER. I think Free Radical is making that game HAZE and we’re getting that as soon as possible, but Timesplitters is what we want around here. I want to play as Robofish and shoot Ninja Monkey and Mr. Giggles and the Gingerbread Man. TSFP also came out on the Xbox.

Classic Game Room HD is a new member of the Classic Game Room family. A more relaxed, subdued show reviewing classic video games from the past 30 years.

The Sega Genesis 16-Bit Mega Drive monster was arguably the greatest video game console ever made. Hits like Revenge of Shinobi, Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage all saw heavy action on the Genesis.

One of the greatest games ever made was Thunder Force 3, a side scrolling shooter where you pilot your spaceshipa against wave after wave of enemy bad guys. This shmup is a legendary classic!

Part 2 of 2 in HIGH DEFINITION. Classic Game Room reviews DEAD SPACE for the Xbox 360 video game console. This Dead Space review shows gameplay and footage from this amazing game in HD High Definition game play video. Wow! It’s like they made this game for Classic Game Room! It may not have huge Atari sized pixels or ninjas, but what it does have is awesome science fiction ambience, sound design and story telling! You play as Isaac and crawl through a space ship infested with horrible aliens or mutated people, all of whom are trying to decapitate you and rip your limbs from your torso. Gameplay is solid, fast and intense. The video game reminds CGR of Alien, Event Horizon and the video games Bioshock, Resistance and Fallout 3. All good things. Dead Space is somewhat of a horror style 3rd person shooter (should have a FPS first person shooter option) set in space and featuring an awesome Sci-fi movie inspired plot. Hours of boring cutscenes are abandoned in favor of in-game storytelling through some really nice stylized screens and audio logs. There are lots of weapons including cutters and flamethrowers, each gun has 2 different modes of fire. Dead Space is sure to please those looking for a top-notch A-list shooter on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 PS3 or PC. We use the 360 version of the game for this review but we’d imaging, from what we’ve seen, that the PS3 Dead Space gameplay and footage is very similar if not identical. The game is awesome.

The Sega Genesis 16-Bit Mega Drive monster was arguably the greatest video game console ever made. Hits like Revenge of Shinobi, Sonic the Hedgehog and Streets of Rage all saw heavy action on the Genesis.

One of the greatest games ever made was Thunder Force 3, a side scrolling shooter where you pilot your spaceshipa against wave after wave of enemy bad guys. This shmup is a legendary classic!
