Classic Game Room HD – ROBOTRON 2084 Xbox Live review
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of ROBOTRON 2084 for the Xbox 360 Xbox Live Arcade XBLA. Designed by Eugene Jarvis and released to the arcades in the early 1980’s, Robotron 2084 is one of the best old school classic video games ever created. You are a loner armed with a laser gun facing wave after wave of Robotrons bent on wiping out mankind. What will the year 2085 be like, how about 2086? This game asks a lot of questions and leaves few answers. But it does leave a wake of human carnage in its path. This is a hard shooter, sort of like Smash TV (hmmmm…. any similarities, maybe the same awesome designer??) CGRHD will also be covering Robotron 2084 for the Playstation 1 game console in the Williams Greatest Hits collection, Robotron 2084 for Atari 7800 and also Robotron 64 for the N64. Classic Game Room HD – GUITAR HERO 3 for Xbox 360 review III
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GUITAR HERO III for the Xbox 360 video game console. This game is also available for the Playstation 3 PS3 and Wii. It should be available for the Sega Genesis and Atari 7800. CGRHD admits that we suck at Guitar Hero. 10 year olds would crush us in a duel without breaking a sweat. But CGRHD would crush a 10 year old into tears at Ms. Pac Man, so take that!!! This game is loads of fun and makes a great party game or high scoring arcade type of game. You play as a guitar HERO (hence the title) and rock out to music from popular bands like White Zombie, The Killers, Slipknot, Poison, Rage Against the Machine, The Scorpions and Weezer just to name a few. You play the game with a fun guitar controller, we used a wireless one for the Xbox. This game is playable on Xbox Live XBLA with a friend and also has gamer points and achievements. You can play as Slash and other fun characters. Basically Guitar Hero rocks…. which we’ll admit we weren’t expecting. This game was a surprise and has been tons o’ jolly fun. Maybe we’ll have to break Rock Band out at some point, I’m sure we’ll suck at that too.

Classic Game Room HD reviews STAR TREK DAC for XBLA Xbox 360 Live Arcade. This Star Trek DAC video game review has gameplay from Star Trek DAC in HD from XBLA. Released to coincide with the new Universal Pictures movie, Star Trek, this game has surprisingly little to do with Star Trek. It is an excellent arcade style multiplayer shooter game like Asteroids meets deathmatch though. Take command of any of three Federation (or Romulan) vessels like the flagship, bomber and fighter then duke it out in DAC (deathmatch, ault and conquest). Play over XBLA Xbox Live Arcade or fight in a single player mode by yourself against computer AI. Star Trek D.A.C. is simple, straight forward, addictive and fun. It lacks the depth of the Star Trek universe but excels at that simple, clever game play that many other Star Trek video games lacked in years past. Star Trek DAC is a worthy purchase for fans of arcade style space ship shooters with a multiplayer, deathmatch, ault and conquest twist.
